Swiftlet is a free tool that anyone can use. It integrates with your web browser in the from of a Bookmark or Favourite. Bookmarks with extra functionality, like Swiftlet, are called Bookmarklets.
When you click on the Swiftlet Bookmarklet it will open a stylish popup panel enabling you to send the link by simply pressing enter. You can even add an optional comment.
You create a Swiftlet for each friend and that Swiftlet will always send links to that person. They work well if you add all your Swiftlets to a folder in your bookmarks bar.
The Swiftlet website has an easy to use Swiftlet creator which automatically generate your custom Swiftlet links. All you need to do is fill in your Name and Email address (so your recipient doesn't think the email is spam) and your friends Email address, which is where the links will get sent. When you make your Swiftlet the special Swiftlet link will light up. You can then add that link to your Bookmarks and call it something like ‘Swiftlet Tom' or ‘Swiftlet Gemma'.
Then, whenever you are browsing a site that you think would interest your friend, all you need to do is click the Swiftlet in your Bookmarks menu.
So, what are you waiting for, start creating your free Swiftlets now. If you don't like it, removing Swiftlet is as easy as deleting it from your Bookmarks/Favourtites.
